If you don’t know the answer to that simple question then most likely the answer is no.

You should be the photographer that is known and the go to for your town.

Do you know all the high schools in your area? Do you know the names of the schools, the mascots? Have you gone to a Friday night football game?

You really get the feel of the fabric of the town when you are sitting in the stands on a Friday night helping cheer on the Lions, the Bobcats, the Bulldogs, The Tigers, etc.

Have you joined your local Chamber of Commerce? That is great networking and sometimes free marketing if you volunteer to help stuff welcome goodie bags for new members, work an event, etc. Membership can cost upwards to a couple hundreds of bucks for a year’s membership but it is tax deductible and a really great marketing tool for you to use.

Have you visited every boutique, consignment shop, dance studio, library, local hang out in your zip code and left your cards?

Half Price Books, Starbucks, anywhere that has a bulletin board, your info should be there. Be sure to bring push pins with you because they are usually used on other people’s stuff.
